Rick Gross has been delivering Microsoft certified MOC courses since 1996, and has plenty of teaching experience at Microsoft Certified Technical Education Centers (CTEC's), with written evaluations from many satisfied students.  He has also delivered A+, Networking Essentials, Novell/Ziff-Davis Courses, applications classes, and customized classes.  His specialties are Exchange Server, Windows Server, TCP/IP, and Server Management within Heterogeneous Messaging and Networking Infrastructures.  He is a Microsoft Certified Trainer (MCT), Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer + Internet (MCSE + Internet), Microsoft MCSE:Messaging, Microsoft MCSE:Security, Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), Microsoft Certified Professional + Internet (MCP + Internet), Microsoft Certified Product Specialist (MCPS), Novell Certified NetWare Engineer (CNE), and he is also a COMPTIA A+ certified technician (A+ Certified) and a COMPTIA Certified Technical Trainer .

Rick sat on a high visibility panel of MCSE’s for Microsoft in March 1996 for a large audience at Microsoft’s PacWest Office in Bellevue, Washington, and was the Instructor who delivered NT and Exchange training with Microsoft in January 1997 for Microsoft's US Bank Initiative.  He was also on the US Bank/Novell ICAN Project back in 1994-95 as a subcontractor for IBM.  He is a Novell Version 5 CNE.  He served as the technical reviewer for Exam Prep for Windows 2000 Professional (Coriolis).  He has developed an internal networking infrastructure that is capable of providing services to help specific customers as part of their continuing support for maintenance and fault tolerance with messaging.  He was one of the first 2000 Microsoft Windows 2000 MCSE's worldwide, and was awarded MCSE Charter Member 2000 status by Microsoft.  He was one of the first 5000 to earn the MCSE for Windows 2003, and earned early achiever status, and was one of the first 5000 to get Microsoft Certified System Administrator (MCSA) certified for Windows 2003, and earned early achiever status from Microsoft for that certification as well.

Aside from computer skills, he has a strong business management background with a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Oregon State University. He has been doing consulting on Computerized Accounting and Financial systems for over 10 years.  He has a Behavioral Science minor, and has also completed a marketing research internship with Oregon State University. In 1984, he participated in HP’s SEED Program (Summer Employment and Educational Development). He creates multimedia presentations and audio/video productions at tenstring studios whose computers are also networked to his personal lab providing resources for consulting research and training preparation.
